The diamonds are mounted on a die or plate, which
in turn is mounted on an XY table. Focussing of the laser is achieved by
moving the focussing lens fitted on the Z axis. Typically, the motors used
on the XY table are 5 phase step motors, DC or AC servo motors, or Linear
motors.
The quality of the finished product ( measured by weight
loss and surface finish ) is affected by:

The LPS-D control system is a customized package of
the basic LPS (Laser Processing System) and consists of :

3 Nos. 5 phase motor drives
